Samantha has over 15 years of experience in Human Resources. She is currently the Senior Manager, HR Operations at UFA where she leads employee relations and talent management and is a champion for DEI, Sustainability, and Safety. She has recently taught Human Resource Management and Compensation for Assiniboine College located in Manitoba. In addition to HR, Samantha has a background in disability studies managing program and funding development as well as supporting inclusive classroom settings for children of different abilities.

Samantha has worked locally in Calgary but also in the UK, and has volunteered with communities abroad in Central America and South Africa, with women at the Calgary Remand Centre, at the Calgary DI, with children at her local church, and currently coaches youth basketball in Airdrie. During the summer months you can most often find her camping with her husband and three children.

I’ve chosen to serve on Highbanks’ Board because it’s an opportunity to be a part of positively impacting and revealing the potential of young mothers as they raise their children in their own homes.
